Pulau Tikus Hawkers (Penang)

Lam mee & Lor mee stall.
Lam mee or Birthday mee is normally served during one's birthday (thus the name) during those good old days.
Lor mee's soup base is made of eggs, soya sauce etc. plus flour to thicken the soup.

Penang has the best Koay chap (duck soup). This stall is at the left side coffee shop (kopi tiam) opposite the Pulau Tikus police station.

The famous Jones Road mee goreng now has a stall at the kopi tiam opposite the Pulau Tikus open-air car park.

Nice bowl of meat balls noodle soup. other than this, the stall also serve Pak-cham-kai (steamed chicken), centre picture and Ye-san (fresh fish meat) porridge.

This stall can be found at a road side hawkers centre behind the temple (next to the Shell station along Burmah Road, before the PTikus traffic lights)
