Day out in Singapore

Singapore is well known for some of its exotic and spicy food variety. In my recent trip there I have chanced upon both categories. In Serangoon, along Syed Alwi Road & its joining roads area, you will find some good Northern & Southern Indian food outlets.

LK curry house at Kampong Kapar Road & Syed Alwi junction.

It opens 24 hours, so don't need to press for time. You can shop at nearby 24-hour Mustafa Centre (mentioned in my earlier posting) then have a real good curry meal here.

Chicken Briyani rice served in banana leave.
If the meaty affair is too heavy for one, you can try out the Vegetarian type at a restaurant directly opposite Mustafa Centre. Its a double shoplots size, you won't miss this place.

Fancy exotic food, then make a bee line to this place. Its one of the
best Turtle soup (山瑞汤) I have tasted in Singapore.
Ser Seng restaurant at Macpherson.

Do order the turtle meat with the skin (if you are adventurous).

Next, the "internal affair", nothing better than the Kway Chap. A type of hand-made flat noodles served in soya sauce soup. Mainly pork's organs etc. all done in tasty lor sauce. This stall is at the hawker centre near the CPF building, facing the main road.
