Hokkien mee (福建蝦麺), as Penangites called it. Else where its referred as Prawn mee.

At Burma Road coffee shop (above), across from Bangkok Lane. This stall used to stationed at the Cantonment Rd-Burma Rd traffic light junction coffee shop years ago. Still man by the original owner.

For this bowl of Hokkien mee (above & below) can be found at the coffee shop behind the Burma Road "Fima". They were at the Rangoon Road coffee shop before moving here some years ago.

One might want to try out the Penang Lor mee. A kind of thick soup based mixed with egg white. The content is a mixture of egg, pork slices, prawn and extra like, roast pork can be added (below, from Green House coffee shop, Burma Rd). Another very common type will be the Lor-cum-Thng (thick soup based mixed with hokkien mee soup), above. One of my favourite is inside the Pulau Tikus wet market hawker centre.
