Fish pot casserole. Fried fish or fish head with tau fu and vegetables.

Penang, the heaven of hawkers food. Some of the fares are koay teow thng (果條湯), below. This comes with fish balls, duck/chicken meat, fish cake slides and at times internal organs...

The Penang curry mee is always mouth watering. This can be found at Lorong Seratus Tahun (off Macalister Road), New World park hawkers centre or the Bee Hooi kopi tiam in Pulau Tikus.

Penang Lor mee is another fare that one should not miss. It has a very thick soup based (below). The coffee shop beside the Kuan Im Teng temple in Pitt Street is always crowded, Pulau Tikus market hawkers centre or the corner coffee shop at junction of Jones and Burmah road in Pulau Tikus.
Sar Hor Fun. For lunch time, one can go to Fu Heong restaurant at Kimberley street. At night, try the Pulau Tikus hawkers centre at Market street.
Nasi Kandar breakfast? Why not, at Mustafa (Chulia Street)
Hainanese chicken rice at Cintra street (below)
All these should end at the world famous Ice Kacang at New World Park hawkers centre!!
